Fortnite, Epic Games' free-to-play battle royale shooter, was initially published on PC platform and then gradually landed on all the platforms. Since its official launch in July 2017, the game has found favor with numerous people. Though it has been three years since its release, it is still a hit now. Fortnite has reached over 350 million registered users, according to a recent tweet. In March 2019, Fortnite had 250 million registered accounts. That means the popular battle royale has gained over 100 million new players in just over a year.
In June 2018, nearly a year after the game went live, Epic Games officially counted 125 million players. Although the player growth rate is not as fast as before, the achievement is still amazing on account of Epic's high-quality operation mode. In 2018 and 2019, Fortnite won the TGA2019 for best continuous operation.
In April alone, players spent over 3.2 billion hours in-game, a remarkable achievement related to the global spread of the epidemic. Amidst the epidemic, Fortnite adopted a brand new activity pattern. Last month, the authorities teamed up with Travis Scott, staging an unprecedented Astro Nomical concert in the game, which drew in a record-breaking 12.3 million concurrent attendees.
In addition, the Fortnite Party Royale Premiere will go live on May 8 at 9 p.m. (ET), according to an announcement from Epic Games.
